12 from KHHS earn All-Clay County honors in winter sports

Clay County coaches released their All-County teams for winter sports, with Keystone Heights High School senior Aaron Wiley earning first-team honors in boys soccer.

Wiley, a forward/midfielder, scored a team-high 33 goals and was second in assists with 13. He ranked first in all of Class 3A in goals scored among players whose stats were uploaded to MaxPreps, while he was tied for sixth in 3A in assists.

Two of Wiley’s teammates earned second-team All-Clay County honors: senior midfielder Luke Brunt and junior forward/midfielder Noah Jaramillo. Brunt, who scored 15 goals, led Keystone in assists with 16, which had him tied for third in all of Class 3A. Jaramillo had 11 goals and six assists.

Soccer players Landon Spence, a junior defender/midfielder, and Sammy Wacha, a junior midfielder, received honorable mention. Spence had one goal and two assists, while Wacha had eight goals and nine assists.

Keystone had seven other student-athletes named to All-Clay County teams, including four from the girls soccer team. Earning second-team honors were Kayden Huntley, a sophomore forward who scored a team-high 27 goals, and junior midfielder Halea Lam, who was second in goals with 21 and second in assists with 10. Junior defenders Kayle Buchanan (one goal, seven assists) and Alyssa Townsend (four goals, six assists) received honorable mention.

In girls basketball, Keystone had a second-team selection in sophomore guard Riley Shuford, who was the only Indians player to average double digits in points per game. She led the team with approximately 250 points and was one of the steals leaders along with junior forward Kadence Massey. Massey received honorable mention after averaging approximately 10 rebounds per game.

Chloe Still, a junior, received honorable mention in girls weightlifting (traditional). Competing in the 139-pound class, she won the District 6-1A championship with a 310 overall total and was the Region 2 runner-up with a 305 total. She qualified for state, placing eighth with a 315 total.
