19 apply for Lake Butler job

LAKE BUTLER—A training supervisor for a McDonald’s franchisee in Virginia, an electrical engineer who has worked in Russia and Africa, and a lawyer who works as a program analyst for the U.S. Department of Interior are among the 19 applicants for the City of Lake Butler’s city manager job.

Local applicants include   Brian Reagan: a minister at Lake Butler’s Church of Christ, Darius Rolle: a lawn care specialist in Lake City, Justin Graham: a shift manager at Sonny’s Barbecue in Lake City, and Terry Puckett: the construction branch manager and director of operations for Lawn Enforcement Agency in Gainesville. 

Less than two weeks remain in the time the City of Lake Butler is accepting applications for the position.  More applications may come in, and the city is not obligated to select from the people who apply.  The position can be re-advertised with more specific qualifications, and the whole process can start over again.

  Amy Hammons

  Amy Hammons describes herself as a “highly motivated employee with a desire to take on new challenges (with) a strong work ethic, adaptability and exceptional interpersonal skills.”  Most recently she has worked as the Training and Development Supervisor for Faris Family McDonalds in Pounding Mill, VA.  She has also held positions as the Inventory Specialist and Event Coordinator for Walt’s Live Oak Ford in Live Oak Florida, Assistant Store Manager at the Pounding Mill VA McDonalds and the CRS Supervisor for AT&T Wireless in Lebanon, VA.  She has a high school diploma from Grundy High School in Grundy, VA.

  Angie Whisnant

  Angie Whisnant holds a MPA (Master’s of Public Management) degree from Southern Illinois University and is a certified public manager (Florida State University).  She lists as some of her strengths community relations, facility operations and grant management.  She is currently working as the Director of Recreation and Marketing for the Springfield Park District in Springfield, IL.  Formerly she has worked as the Director of Parks and Recreation in Brooksville, FL, the Director of Parks and Recreation in Palatka, FL, the Assistant City Manager in Kirksville, MI, the Director of Parks and Recreation in Bartow, FL, the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation in Valparaiso, IN and Administrative Manager for the Village of Glen Carbon in Glen Carbon, IL.

  Arnold L. Tuibeo

  Arnold L. Tuibeo lists his skills as engineering, project management, leadership and problem solving.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Technical Institute of the Philippines.  He has worked as Lead Maintenance Department for Reynolds Philippines Corporation, Transmit/Receive System Engineer (Telecom System) for Nokia Philippines, CAD Manager for the Saudi Engineering Group International and other engineering positions in the United Arab Emirates, West Africa, Taiwan and Russia.

    Bonnie Madrid

    Bonnie Madrid holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Hodges University and completed the Certified Public Manager program from Arizona State.  She also holds a Juris Doctorate from North Western University.  She is currently working as Management and Program Analyst for the U.S. Department of the Interior. She has worked in as a real estate investor, an Auditor to the State of Nevada Dept. of Taxation, a Corporate Manager, a Dispatch/Marketing Specialist, Business Management, a professional driver, a Real Estate Sales Agent and Operations Manager for a towing company.

Brian Reagan

  Brian Reagan lists his professional expertise as management and leadership, project management and budgeting.  He is a candidate for a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Management & Leadership from Trinity Theological Seminary, is currently enrolled in the Master of Theological Studies program at Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver, a Master of Divinity (Church Growth and Evangelism) Magna Cum Laude from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Criminal Justice from Amridge University.  He is currently employed as the Minister of Lake Butler Church of Christ.  He has previously been employed as the Minister of North Oak Church of Christ in Mineral Wells, TX, a City Councilman at Large in Mineral Wells, TX and Battalion Chaplain of the Texas State Guard, also in Mineral Wells, TX.  He has an extensive volunteer record including Post Commander of American Legion Post 153 in Union County, Lake Butler Rotary President and police and fire departments.

  Charles Hayes

Charles Hayes is a veteran “seeking a position utilizing experience and training while serving in the military, in sales, marketing, management and public service.”  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from West Virginia University and numerous certificates and diplomas from the US Army.  He is currently employed as Vice President of Procurement for RSH Distribution in Jacksonville.  He has worked as a Regional Manager for Sunset Novelties in Jacksonville, Group Sales & Catering Manager for the Savannah Sand Gnats, Senior Military Instructor for the US Army in Morgantown, WV and Director and Personnel Manager for the US Army in Ft. Stewart, GA.

Dan Donham

  Dan Donham describes himself as a “highly effective and competent City Manager/Architect/Construction Manager/Facilities Management.”  He has written building codes and city ordinances, as well as managing city staff, budgeting, scheduling and progress and status reporting to the Mayor and city council.  He has attended the University Of Kansas School Of Architecture, the University of Hawaii School of Architecture and Combat Engineer School in the US Marine Corp.  He is currently self-employed as an architect with Donham Design.  He has worked as a Facilities Manager for Ink Cycle and as Director of Planning and Development for the City of Linn Valley.

Darius Rolle

  Darius Rolle describes himself as detail-oriented and dedicated to achieving goals in a timely manner.  He has a high school diploma from Lake City.  He is currently a Lawn Care Specialist with a private company in Lake City.  He has worked as a Line Cook at Olive Garden in Lake City, a Research Assistant for American Directions Research Group in Lake City, a Customer Service Representative for Dial America in Greenville, SC and a Box Stacker for Pilgrim’s Pride in Live Oak.

David Howard

  David Howard lists among his expertise application of leadership strategies, analytical/problem solving and goal setting and attainment.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Bethune-Cookman University. He also holds certifications in CPR, as a Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector, an Underground Utility Contractor, a Backflow Prevention Inspector and is a certified Playground Safety Inspector. He currently works for the City of Brooksville as Director of Parks and Recreation.  He has worked as the Director of Sports and Recreation for Lynn Haven, FL, Recreational Supervisor for Panama City, an Assistant Superintendent for Underground Utilities, a Project Engineer for P&S Paving in Daytona Beach and is founder and owner of ED3 Services Inc. in Daytona Beach.

Gregory Macomber

Justin Graham

  Pat Oman describes himself as “a proven visionary and strategic leader” and lists his strengths as government administration, economic development and financial management.  He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and a Master of Manufacturing Systems from the same university.  He is currently employed as County Administrator for Becker County in Detroit Lakes, MN.  He has worked as a Technical Expeditor for Skywater Technology in Bloomington, MN, County Administrator for Mille Lacs County in Milaca, MN, City Administrator for the City of Moose Lake in MN and Director of Economic Development/Chief Administrative Officer for Carlton County, MN.

Sean Hannigan

    Sean Hannigan states that he is willing to relocate anywhere.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Memphis and an Associate in Basic from Bartlett High School in Bartlett, TN.  He is currently employed by Alsco Linen in Memphis as a Service Manager.  He has worked as Operations Manager for Dynamic Security in Clearwater and as a Route Sales Representative for GK Services in Memphis.

Sheila Stidham

She holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, both from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.    She is a State of Ohio instructor in cosmetology. She is CEO and Founder of OurWorld MD and owner/operator of Shelia’s Sharper Image.

Taner Kimball

  Taner Kimball describes himself as “analytical, organized and results driven team player with expertise and experience in the full spectrum of business management…”  He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Organizational Administration and an Associate of Applied Science in Aeronautics/Pilot Training.  He has worked as the Owner/Production Manager/ Purchasing at Taner’s Handyman and Assembly Service and General Manager of Operations and Production/Chief Pilot for Orion Flight Services.

  Terry Puckett

  Terry Puckett describes his qualifications as successfully running his own landscape business and as Director of Operations for larger firms.  He is a high school graduate from Hawthorne High School and has some college classes in Pastoral Leadership from Liberty University.  He is also a certified first responder.  He is currently employed as Construction Branch Manager/Director of Operations for Lawn Enforcement Agency in Gainesville.  He has worked as the Owner/Operator of Elite Landscaping and Design LLC in High Springs and as 12 Bravo Combat Engineer in the US Army.

Thomas P. Heeney

  Thomas P. Heeney, describes himself as a “seasoned, experienced and highly educated professional…experienced in executive and government sectors.”  He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft.
