Tyler Griffin and Olivia Griffin earned third- and fourth-place finishes, respectively, for the Keystone Heights High School cross country teams at the Oct. 2 Bradford Invitational at O.J. Phillips Recreation Complex in Lake Butler.
In the 98-member boys field, Tyler Griffin crossed the finish line in 18:08 to help Keystone finish fifth in the team standings. The Indians had a score of 115 to place ahead of P.K. Yonge (121). Ridgeview (42) placed first, followed by Suwannee (47), Baldwin (91) and Baker County (105).
Two additional KHHS boys runners placed in the top half of the field. Ryder Thomas had a 30th-place time of 21:12, while Anthony Peak had a 37th-place time of 21:31.
Also competing for KHHS were Will Begue (22:45), Ayden Graff (23:11), Clark Byrnes (25:52) and Bekett Capper (29:03).
Olivia Griffin ran a fourth-place time of 23:27 in the 77-member girls field. Teammate Alexis Taylor earned a 28th-place finish with a time of 28:02.
The Indians were also represented by Morgan Kenney (29:11), Ella Hutchins (30:25) and Shaylyn Williams (32:24).
Keystone placed eighth in the team standings with a score 170, with the top seven teams being P.K. Yonge (21), Suwannee (92), Branford (107), Ridgeview (123), Baker County (135), Bradford (136) and Crescent City (147). Baldwin (200) took the ninth and last spot.
