Keystone Heights High School had two boys varsity runners and one girls varsity runner earn medals for top-20 finishes at the Sept. 14 Buchholz Bobcat Cross Country Classic, which was held at Santa Fe College in Gainesville.
Ryder Thomas led the boys team with a time of 17:35, which placed him ninth out of 109. Teammate Noah Yara ran a 15th-place time of 18:13.
Olivia Griffin finished 17th in the 80-runner girls race with a time of 22:36.
Keystone placed fifth out of nine in the girls team standings, getting a 29th-place time of 25:14 from Melody Tyre and a 41st-place time of 26:43 from Brook Graudons. Graudons’ time was a personal record.
An additional five girls runners competed for the Indians: Cali Chamberlain 27:22, Kenslee Phillips 27:31 (PR), Madilyn Miller 27:35 (PR) and Clara Beth Robinson 33:08.
The boys team placed seventh out of 15 and had eight runners besides Thomas and Yara: Graysen Bell 22:29 (PR), Jason Parales 22:49, Mason Gray 23:12, Gavin Morford 23:35, Alex Mahaffey 25:05 (PR), Eli Rabe 25:32, Hunter Gray 25:36 and Oliver Miller 25:46.
Keystone had three runners in the junior varsity girls race: Raina Daniel 39:27, Ava Blackburn 41:50 and Madylinn Michaud 43:18.
