Keystone Heights High School had five student-athletes receive second-team honors and eight receive honorable mention with the release of the All-Clay County teams for fall sports.
Boys cross-country runners Ryder Thomas and Noah Yara and girls runner Olivia Griffin were second-team selections. All three advanced from the district level to the regional level.
Thomas placed 20th out of 159 at the District 2-2A meet, while Yara was 31st. Griffin was 35th out of 136 in the girls race.
At the Region 1 meet, Thomas placed 25th out of 114, while Yara was 41st. Griffin placed 66th out of 108.
Girls cross-country runner earned All-Clay honorable mention.
The KHHS football team had a second-team selection in defensive lineman Jackson Herman, while running back Zane Leger, offensive linemen Pete Bostic and Luke Bacorn, corner Andrew Wilson and safety Colton Hollingsworth earned honorable mention.
In boys golf, the Indians’ Ty Mitzel was named to the second team after tying for third at the inaugural Florida 1A Public School Championship and tying for sixth at the District 5-1A finals. He went on to tie for 59th at the Region 2 finals.
Boys golfer Jacob Beach earned honorable mention.
Keystone volleyball’s Kaleigh Marquart, a setter, earned honorable mention after leading the Indians in assists with 441 and aces with 64.
