5 to compete for Miss UCHS title on Jan. 23

Union County High School’s Class of 2027 is excited to announce the Miss UCHS 2024-25 pageant, which will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. in the UCHS auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets, which are $10, can be purchased at the door on online at gofan.co. Enter “Union County High School” in the gofan.co search bar, click on the appropriate school link and select the pageant.

“Timeless Elegance” is the theme for this year’s pageant, which consists of five contestants.

Contestants are scored in eight categories: Highest GPA, Teacher Recommendations, Interview, Opening Performance, Theme Wear, Talent, Evening Gown and On-Stage Question.

Besides the crowning of Miss Union County High, awards will be presented for Most Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Director’s Award and People’s Choice.

People’s Choice was added to the pageant in 2020 and is determined by the total amount of money donated by each contestant’s supporters. You are encouraged to bring cash and vote for your favorite contestant.

Souvenirs and bottled water will be available for purchase.

This year’s contestants are as follows:

Isabelle Kirsten

—Isabelle Kirsten, a 16-year-old junior who’s the daughter of Julie Kirsten and Jonny Kirsten. She’s a member of JROTC, FFA and the track and field team. After high school, she plans to enlist in the Army National Guard as an E3, thanks to her time in JROTC.  She also plans to attend Santa Fe College and take ROTC courses at the University of Florida at the same time.

—Ava Westmoreland, an 18-year-old senior who’s the daughter of Forrest and Sara Westmoreland. She’s a member of FFA and the varsity cheer team. She plans to attend Santa Fe College to study Ultrasound Technology.

—Aubrie Muse, a 17-year-old senior who’s the daughter of Brad and Kristin Muse. She’s a member of FFA, FCA, Beta Club, Performing Arts Club and cheer. She’s currently dual-enrolled at Florida Gateway College, where she is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.  Upon high school graduation, she will be receiving her AA degree and plans to transfer to the University of Florida to major in Business and minor in Graphic Design.

Aubrie Muse

—Chloie Harris, a 16-year-old junior who’s the daughter of Rebecca Harris and Timothy Allen and Doney and Sarah Harris. She’s a member of JROTC, where she’s also a member of the Raiders Team, the Military Police, Air Rifle Team, Drill Team, JLab, and Honor Guard.  She’s also a member of FCA and Junior Friends of the Library. She plans to complete her AA before she graduates high school. She then plans to become an esthetician so she can work while attending Florida Gateway College to begin her study of Dermatology.

—Zoe Elixson, a 17-year-old senior who’s the daughter of Justin and Leyla Elixson. She’s a member of FCA, SWAT, Beta Club, the cheer team and the golf Team. She plans to attend college to study Musical Theater and Dance and pursue a career in Performing Arts.
