Grant Timonere scored 42 points as the Hope Christian Academy varsity boys basketball team won its fourth straight game, defeating visiting Gainesville Christian Community on Feb. 6.
Timonere also had eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Lions (11-7) got six points each from Rory Foster and Noah Gaffney, five points from Caden Hartzog, four points from Joele Smith and two points from Mathew Galer.
Gaffney led the team in steals with four.
Hope’s win streak began with a pair of tournament wins on Jan. 31, with the Lions defeating Northside Christian 41-33 and Tifton, Georgia’s CHESS Academy 48-31. The Telegraph-Times-Monitor didn’t have stats for these games.
On Feb. 3, the Lions defeated visiting Northside 62-30, getting 32 points from Timonere, 15 points from Zenik Patrick, seven points from Gaffney, four points from Smith and two points each from Foster and Galer.
Gaffney grabbed seven rebounds, while Timonere had five steals.
Foster and Smith had four and three steals, respectively.
