Emily Dennis
Emily Grace Dennis, 43, of Hampton, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. She was born in Graham on April 1, 1983, to her loving parents, Alan Edgar Myers and Marjorie Clayton Myers. She spent her youth growing up in Bradford and Alachua counties, graduating from P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School with the Class of 2001. Full of life and vibrant energy, Emily loved being outdoors and felt a deep connection to nature. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether she was hiking local trails, tending to her garden, or crafting homemade candles. In 2007, she met her best friend and soulmate, Timothy Dennis. After six wonderful years together, they were united in marriage on April 19, 2013. Emily enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family. She was a free spirit with a curious mind. She had a passion for the mystic and spiritual worlds. She enjoyed tarot readings, studying astrology, and collecting and learning about crystals. More than anything, she loved spending quality time with those she cherished most. Her deep love for her family and friends leave a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was profoundly loved and will be forever missed.
Emily leaves behind her beloved husband of 13 years, Timothy Dennis of Hampton; precious daughter, Athena Dennis of Hampton; grandmother, Anna Clayton of Hampton Lake; parents, Alan and Marjorie (Peggy) Myers of Graham; brother, Michael Myers of Keystone Heights; along with extended family members and dear friends.
A private graveside celebration to honor her life will be held at Santa Fe Cemetery in Hampton.

Jack Eugene Goff Jr. died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026. He was born Aug. 3, 1982. Jack was a truly gentle and kind soul, a man whose warmth, compassion, and beautiful smile made everyone around him feel loved, accepted, and at peace. He was brave and strong while carrying a tenderness that never wavered, a devoted father and family man who quietly showed others what love, presence, and goodness look like. He was, quite simply, one of the nicest men anyone had ever met, and his love will continue to live in the lives of all those he touched.

Shirley McInerney
Shirley Blackwood McInerney of Keystone Heights died at her home on her 92nd birthday, Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026.
Survivors are her husband, Dan McInerney; children, Patricia (Ralph) Leibold, Darren McInerney, Danny McInerney, and Tim Turbeville; and extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs.

Wanda Smith
Wanda L. Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted teacher, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Wanda was born on Feb. 21, 1948, in Jacksonville and spent many of her treasured years in Starke. She was a graduate of Englewood Senior High School and went on to pursue a lifelong commitment to learning and education. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from North Florida Junior College, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Valdosta State College, a Master of Education degree from Georgia Southern College, and a Specialist in Education degree from the University of Florida. She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to education, serving in both Bradford County and Clay County schools. A passionate educator, she inspired countless students through her love of history, learning, and teaching. Her dedication to her students extended far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impression on the many lives she touched. Wanda’s love for travel took her on many adventures, including memorable trips with her students to Europe, where her excitement for discovery was contagious. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with family and friends, often joining groups on author trips that allowed her to indulge in her love for reading. She was a proud supporter of the Bradford Friends of the Library, always encouraging others to share her enthusiasm for books. She was a member of the Altrusa Club and Women’s Club of Starke, where she was able to serve her community. She was a lifelong supporter of both sports and the arts. She proudly held season tickets to Florida football games and was a devoted patron of the Jacksonville Symphony. Whether cheering from the stands or enjoying a performance she embraced life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy.
Above all, Wanda cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband, John Smith; her daughter, Sarah Crawford; son, Jonathan Smith; along with son-in-law, Kevin Crawford. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, Hunter, Alexander, Heather, and Courtney; and great-grandson, Carson, who will carry on her legacy of curiosity and kindness. Wanda’s warmth, wit, and great spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, Oct. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Woman’s Club of Starke. Family visitation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Bradford County Friends of the Library.
