KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— Keystone Heights Elementary School sixth-grade students in Ms. Sanders’ class recently built index card towers to learn about the laws of gravity, balance, and motion.
“Students collected measurements and data and charted the winning tower,” the school said. “The highest tower was 39 inches.”
KHES sixth graders also received instruction recently about the scientific method: claim, evidence, and reasoning. The school said students developed claims about why popcorn pops and then tested their reasoning that a temperature change caused the reaction. “The students then ate the evidence,” the school added.
