Local royalty, joined by Bradford Agricultural Fair personnel and local elected officials, cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the 72nd annual fair today at 5 p.m.
The fair opens 5 p.m. nightly through Friday, March 11, and at noon on Saturday, March 12, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 13.
The exhibit areas, which are open March 8-12, close at 10 p.m. each night.
Midway closing times are determined nightly by Deggeller Attractions.
General admission, which doesn’t cover the cost of rides, is $7 for adults and $6 for students. Children under 4 are admitted free.
Admission on Sunday, March 13, when the midway only is open, is $5. Non-riders under 3 are admitted free.
Unlimited-ride armbands can be purchased on the midway for $12 on opening night and for $18 March 9-10. You can purchase two for a total of $25 on March 10, which is Buddy Night. Both “buddies” must be present at time of purchase.
Ride armbands are $22 on Friday, March 11, $25 on Saturday, March 12, and $15 on Sunday, March 13.
Ride tickets are available for purchase on the midway for $1 each, with each ride requiring 2-6 tickets.
The swine show began tonight at 6:30 p.m. The remaining animal shows and auction is as follows:
—Steer show and showmanship contest, Wednesday, March 9, 6 p.m.
—Beef breed show, Thursday, March 10, 6 p.m.
—Swine and steer auction, Friday, March 11, 5 p.m.
—Swine and steer awards, Saturday, March 12, 2 p.m.
