GREEN COVE SPRINGS— The Clay County School District Police Department is urging teachers and parents to talk to students about a social media challenge that promotes vandalism and theft.

The agency said that in accomplishing the challenge called “Most Devious Lick,” students are stealing school property, clogging toilets, and painting and vandalizing student bathrooms.

“Other school districts experienced this first hand,” the police department said on its Facebook page. “Also, districts have become aware of the newest challenge, students are now attempting to steal credit cards and other items from teachers and posting what they have done on the social media platform, TikTok.”

The agency said the school district has not yet seen any of its students participating in the challenge, but asked adults to talk to students about the consequences of engaging in such activities, which include school district discipline and criminal justice procedures.
