KHHS gets top-10 finishes from Tyler Griffin, Olivia Griffin

Tyler Griffin and Olivia Griffin each placed in the top 10 for Keystone Heights High School at the ninth annual Trinity Catholic Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 25.

In the 99-member varsity boys race, Tyler Griffin ran a seventh-place time of 17:10. Three of his teammates placed in the top half of the field: Tyler Shaw, who was 24th with a time of 18:57, Ryder Thomas, who was 39th with a time of 20:14, and Ayden Graff, who was 49th with a time of 20:48.

Keystone, which placed sixth out of 13 as a team in the varsity boys standings, was also represented by Anthony Peak (21:01), Will Begue (21:38) and Clark Byrnes (24:23).

Olivia Griffin placed ninth out of 61 in the junior varsity girls race with a time of 23:58. She was joined by teammates Alexis Taylor (30:05), Ella Hutchins (30:57), Morgan Kenney (31:02) and Shaylyn Williams (32:19).

The Indians finished sixth out of seven in the team standings.

Keystone’s Beckett Capper ran in the JV boys race, finishing with a time of 29:46.
