Candace Jackson finished with her best-ever score to help lead the Keystone Heights High School girls golf team to a win over host Palatka on Sept. 29.
The Indians finished with a team score of 220, which was 14 strokes ahead of Palatka.
Jackson sank a putt on hole eight for an eagle and finished with a score of 38.
M.J. Rivera shot a 48, while Mia Rivera and Rexi Lewis had scores of 62 and 72, respectively.
On Sept. 23, Keystone lost to visiting Fleming Island, which won by 50 strokes with a score of 169.
Jackson finished tied for first with Fleming Island’s Cambree Hodge. Each shot a 39, with Jackson making par on four holes as well as making a birdie.
M.J. Rivera finished in a three-way tie for fifth with a score of 48. Mia Rivera was ninth with a score of 61, while Lewis was 10th with a score of 71.
The Indians played against Clay and Oakleaf at Eagle Landing on Sept. 28, with Jackson taking second overall with a score of 43. She made par on four holes and was five strokes behind medalist Taylor Young of Clay.
Lewis and Mia Rivera finished in a three-way tie with Clay’s Rebecca Gibson for eighth with a score of 61.
M.J. Rivera was unable to participate, so Keystone, with only three players, didn’t have team score.
