Update: Starke Police Department has confirmed the suspect below has been arrested and is in the Columbia County Jail
On Friday, Nov. 5, at approximately 9:38 p.m, officers
of the Starke Police Department responded to a person shot in the 1000 block of East Brownlee Street. Upon arrival officers discovered a black male in his 30s suffering from multiple fatal gunshot wounds.
Through the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to charge Ted’Qwon Lee McGowan with first degree murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
“It was determined that this senseless and depraved act of violence was caused by an individual that had no regard for human life,” SPD said in a statement.
McGowan may be driving a blue Chevrolet Camaro bearing Florida Tag 6768YR. If you know where McGowan is or see him, please call 911. McGowan has an active warrant for fis arrest.
