Recent arrests in Bradford, Union and Clay

Nov. 13 through Nov. 19

The following individuals were arrested recently by local law enforcement officers in Bradford, Union or Clay (Keystone Heights-area) counties. All defendants are considered innocent until convicted in a court or until pleading guilty or no contest. Information in this report is from law enforcement agencies and court documents, which are public records.

Bradford

Jonathan Joseph Brooker, 31, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Starke police on Nov. 18 for battery, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, resisting an officer, possession of drugs and escape.

Jason Nickolas Channell, 19, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Bradford deputies on Nov. 15 for battery.

Edward Gregory Griffis, 43, of Raiford was arrested by Starke police on Nov 16 for an out-of-county warrant.

Aaron Charles Gunter, 43, of Starke was arrested Nov. 19 by Bradford deputies for driving with a suspended license, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug equipment and an out-of-county warrant.

Steven Jerry Hulsey, 40, of Starke was arrested by Starke police on Nov. 18 for DUI.

Matthew DeWayne Johns, 28, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on Nov. 17 for a probation violation.

Cathy Lynn Lancaster, 45, of Webster was arrested Nov. 16 by Bradford deputies for failure to appear.

Joshua Lane McClellan, 45, of Raiford was arrested by Bradford deputies on Nov. 19 for a probation violation.

Brenda Mae Murray, 64, of Bluffton, Indiana was arrested by Starke police on Nov. 18 for being an out-of-state fugitive.

Mildred Elizabeth Simmons, 31, of Lake Butler was arrested by Bradford deputies on Nov. 17 for vehicle theft.

Union

Timothy James Crawford, 34, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 17 for burglary. 

According to an arrest report the victim was watching television in her bedroom when she heard noises coming from the kitchen.  She walked into the kitchen and discovered the defendant standing in front of the stove, holding his head and declaring he did not know how he got into the house. The victim yelled at Crawford to leave, which he did.  The victim said after Crawford left, she found the burners of the stove turned on, in addition to some of the defendant’s belongings, including one of his shoes. 

Deputy Jason L. Lepanto wrote in the report that he located Crawford at a convenience store, and the defendant was wearing only one shoe. 

Lepanto wrote that Crawford admitted entering the home and added that he did not know who lived there.

“Crawford said he couldn’t remember why he went into the residence,” Lepanto wrote, “and continued to apologize for doing so.”

Joshua Andrew Dilas, 37, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 18 for failure to appear.

Edward Gregory Griffis, 33, of Lulu was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 16 for a probation violation.

Ceceilia Renee Hall, 31, of Gainesville was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 15 for possession of drugs and possession of narcotics equipment.

Zachery Richard McMillen, 32, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 19 for an out-of-county warrant.

Ross Allen Miller, 55, of Melrose was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 17 for larceny.

Geronnie Tirell Rollins, 45, was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 19 for trespassing, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

Christopher Shawn Woods, 39, of Macclenny was arrested by Union deputies on Nov. 19 for a probation violation and failure to appear.

Clay

Michael David Pendergrass, 52, was arrested by Clay deputies in Keystone Heights for resisting an officer without violence.
