Shaw’s big night helps KHHS girls soccer team win 6th straight

Kiersten Shaw scored five goals as the Keystone Heights High School girls soccer team won its sixth straight match, defeating visiting Fort White 8-0 on Dec. 13.

It was the third straight mercy rule victory for the Indians, who’ve scored 47 goals in their last six matches. Shaw has 21 of those goals.

Sydnie Colaw, Ella Hutchins and Yoselyn Saldierna Galvan each added a goal in the win over Fort White, while Kendall Gagnon recorded two assists.

Shaw added an assist as well.

The Indians (7-3-2) entered the match off a 10-0 win at Williston on Dec. 9.

Gagnon and Shaw each scored three goals, while Hutchins had two. Keystone also got one goal each from Lindsay Hovsepian and Elizabeth Waughon.

Shaw had two assists, while Hovsepian, Hutchins and Reagan Hogg each had one.

The Indians play at Middleburg tonight at 7:20 p.m. and will host Columbia on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m.
