Northside Christian Academy defeated visiting Corinth Christian (Jasper) 55-17 on Dec. 10 for its second straight lopsided win in girls basketball.
The Eagles (5-1) have won their last two games by an average of 43 points.
Stats from the win over Corinth weren’t available by deadline.
Northside opened the season with an easy 39-7 win over visiting New Testament Christian (Madison) on Nov. 9, getting 12 points, 12 rebounds and six steals from Caroline Smith.
Karissa Lawrence and Finley Poiner had six and five points, respectively, while Tatiana Coleman, Rosalea Norman and Chloe Templeton each had four.
Poiner added nine rebounds to her totals, while Lawrence had four steals.
On Nov. 12, Smith poured in 27 points in a 47-32 win at Open Bible Christian (Valdosta, Georgia).
Lawrence scored seven points, while Sam Cowart and Chylee Kahakua had five and four, respectively. Coleman and Poiner each chipped in two points.
Smith and Poiner grabbed nine and five rebounds, respectively, with Smith also dishing out five assists. Norman and Poiner had five and three steals, respectively, with Norman also recording four assists.
Visiting Countryside Christian (Gainesville) handed the Eagles their first loss by a score of 34-33 on Nov. 16.
Smith finished with 16 points, 25 rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Poiner had 10 points and 22 rebounds.
Lawrence and Kahakua added five and two points, respectively, with Lawrence also grabbing seven rebounds and making five steals. Haley Nugent had three assists and two steals.
Northside bounced back with a 41-39 win against visiting Southside Christian (Waycross, Georgia) on Nov. 19, getting 27 points, 14 rebounds and six steals from Smith.
Cowart and Kahakua each scored four points, with Coleman, Lawrence and Norman each adding two.
Poiner and Lawrence had 10 and seven rebounds, respectively, with Lawrence also adding five steals. Kahakua had three steals.
On Dec. 3, Smith recorded her third straight double-double as the Eagles defeated visiting Faith Christian (Yulee) 58-11.
Smith had 31 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding three steals.
Kahakua and Poiner scored nine and six points, respectively, while Coleman and Nugent each had four. Cowart and Makayla Price each chipped in two points.
Poiner grabbed 11 rebounds, while Coleman and Kahakua each had five. Kahakua also had four assists and four steals, while Poiner had three steals.
