Keystone girls soccer team loses by 1 goal to Columbia

Visiting Columbia handed the Keystone Heights High School girls soccer team its second straight loss, defeating the Indians 3-2 on Dec. 16.

Ella Hutchins and Kiersten Shaw each scored a goal, with Shaw recording an assist on Hutchins’ score.

Kendall Gagnon and Aspen Krohn both played in goal, with Gagnon making six saves and Krohn making 11.

The Indians (7-5-2) were coming off a 1-0 loss at Middleburg on Dec. 14. Krohn made 15 saves.

Keystone will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 4, when it travels to play Newberry at 5 p.m. The Indians travel to play Baker County on Saturday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. and then play Santa Fe in Alachua on Monday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m.

The Indians return home to play Williston on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 5:30 p.m.
