The Bradford High School girls basketball team, which hosts Paxon Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., is in the midst of playing seven straight games at home to close out the regular season.
Bradford fell to 6-7 with a 48-33 loss to visiting Madison County (ranked fifth in 1A) on Jan. 15. The Tornadoes went 1-1 in the two games prior to that, defeating visiting Eastside 40-30 on Jan. 11 and losing 49-30 to host Ridgeview on Jan. 13.
In the win against Eastside, Santee Blye recorded a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. She also had three steals.
Jada Hankerson scored 12 points, while Nichelle Brown ahd five. Bernaria Nichols and Ayanna Pringle each had two points, while Sky McMillian chipped in one.
Pringle and Ajiyah Jackson grabbed nine and eight rebounds, respectively, while Brown had seven to go along with three steals.
Hankerson added five rebounds and five steals.
The Tornadoes’ next three home games have them playing Buchholz on Thursday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m., Trenton on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. and Keystone Heights on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m.
