BHS girls cap hoops’ regular season with 10-point victory

Santee Blye and Aniyah Carroll combined for 27 points and 36 rebounds, helping the Bradford High School girls basketball team defeat visiting Williston 35-25 on Jan. 27.

Carroll scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Blye scored nine points and grabbed 27 rebounds.

The Tornadoes (8-10) also got five points from Sky McMillian, two points from Jakayla Evans and one point from Kimber Woods, who also had five rebounds.

Bradford now prepares to play a semifinal game in the District 6-1A tournament, which is being hosted by Fort White High School. The Tornadoes, who are the second seed, will play either third-seed Dixie County or sixth-seed Bell on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. If Bradford wins, it’ll play for the championship on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m.

The tournament also consists of top-seed Fort White, fourth-seed Branford and fifth-seed Union County.
