Just before 6:30 a.m. Feb. 22, Bradford County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the report of a traffic crash involving an overturned semi.
Upon arrival, units found a tractor-trailer truck overturned on its side in the middle of U.S. 301 blocking both lanes of southbound traffic. The crash site was just south of Lazenby Equipment.
Paramedics evaluated the occupant while firefighters mitigated an approximate 120 gallon fuel leak.
U.S. 301 southbound was blocked for an extended period of time while the Florida Highway Patrol conducted its investigation.
