Kendall Gagnon won one event and placed in another, while Kiersten Shaw placed in two events as well for the Keystone Heights High School girls track and field team at the Feb. 25 Pedro Menendez Falcon Alumni Invite.
Gagnon took first in the javelin with a distance of 26.38 meters, while she was third in the discus with a throw of 23.88.
Shaw was runner-up in the long jump with a distance of 4.88. She placed fourth in the high jump by clearing 1.38.
The 4x400m relay team of Shaw, Brianna Hogan, Elizabeth Hogan and Ella Hutchins ran a second-place time of 4:48.
Shaylyn Williams and Emily Weiner placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin with distances of 13.83 and 13.76.
Ella Hutchins placed seventh in the 400m (1:10), while Kinslee Burnaw placed eighth in the discus (17.66).
KHHS also had the following results: 100m — Brianna Hogan 15.59, Shantiriya Golden 15.66, Rebecca Lasca 17.25; 200m — Candace Jackson 32.24, Brianna Hogan 32.42, Elizabeth Hogan 33.32, Golden 34.98, Lasca 36.75; 800m — Dallas Decrosta 2:59, Taylor Goodin 3:30; 4×400 — Goodin, Jackson, Williams, Decrosta 5:35; shot put — Burnaw 5.41; and discus — Williams 14.93, Weiner 12.26.
On Feb. 22, Shaw won two events, while Gagnon won one at a meet hosted by Palatka.
Shaw took first in the high jump (1.47) and long jump (4.74), while also placing second in the 100m hurdles (19.17).
Gagon placed first in the javelin (22.57) as well as taking second in the discus (23.70).
Decrosta won an event as well, running the 1600m in 6:26.
Weiner placed second in the javelin (17.82), while Alyssa Sanford was second in the high jump (1.42). The Indians also earned second in the 4x400m relay, with Parker Collins, Brook Graudons, Kherrington Norman and Madeline Sweezy teaming up to run a time of 5:30.
Alexis Taylor was third in the high jump (1.37), while Keystone had the following fourth-place finishes: Hutchins in the 400m (1:11), Teilah Hall in the shot put (6.90) and Kaylee Park, Jackson, Sanford and Brianna Hogan in the 4x100m (58.22).
Brianna Hogan and Jackson placed seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100m with times of 14.95 and 15.03, while Hutchins and Hogan were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 200m with times of 30.16 and 31.43.
In the shot put, Makenzi Brinson was seventh (5.69), while Burnaw was eighth (4.91).
Hall placed eighth in the discus (17.10).
Other results were: 100m — Golden 16.0, Elizabenth Hogan 16.35; 200m — Jackson 32.11, Elizabeth Hogan 33.31, Weiner 35.05; long jump — Graudons 3.20, Madison Brinson 2.94; and discus — Burnaw 16.30, Makenzi Brinson 15.60, Weiner 12.10.
In the event’s middle-school finals, Olivia Griffin won the 800m (2:56) and the 1600m (6:25). Norman won the 400m (1:15) and placed second in the 200m (34.13), while the following earned second-place finishes: Collins in the 400m (1:16), Taylor in the 800m (3:05) and Park in the 100m hurdles (20.31).
Sanford and Cali Chamberlain placed third and fifth, respectively, with times of 14.74 and 17.08, while Sweezy was third in the 800m (3:27).
