KEYSTONE HEIGHTS—Clay Electric Cooperative said that for the first time in its history, its in-person annual meeting will not be held at the co-op’s headquarters in Keystone Heights. Instead, the Saturday, March 26 meeting will take place at the football stadium at Keystone Heights Junior-Senior High School.
The starting time for the event has also been moved to the morning. Gates open at 8:30 a.m., with the business meeting beginning at 9:30. The co-op said the meeting will last around two-and-a-half hours.
The utility is also cutting the free lunches traditionally given away during the event. Instead, the co-op is providing a light breakfast, goody bags and a door prize ticket to all adults passing through the gates.
