Tornadoes fall 1-0 despite a stellar outing by Cason Pilcher

Cason Pilcher went the distance on the mound, giving up just four hits, but the Bradford High School baseball team remained winless, losing 1-0 to host P.K. Yonge on March 4.

Pilcher struck out five and gave up just one walk. The Blue Wave’s only run was scored by Gage Riley, who reached on a fly ball error in the bottom of the fifth. Pilcher struck out the next two batters, but Riley scored on Kyrin Griffith’s line drive into center field.

The Tornadoes (0-5) were held to one hit by P.K. Yonge pitcher Andrew Dawson.

Bradford travels to play Branford on Tuesday, March 8, at 7 p.m. and will host Interlachen on Thursday, March 10, at 7 p.m. The Tornadoes travel to play Union County on Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m.
