Due to almost nonstop rain throughout March 11 and during the early hours of this morning, the Bradford Agricultural Fair was forced to cancel for the second straight day.

Though it looks as if there’ll be no rain the rest of the day, standing water on the grounds will prevent Deggeller Attractions from operating the midway. A post on the Bradford County Fair Facebook page stated that Deggeller staff will be working throughout the day to dry out and service its rides so that the midway can open tomorrow, March 13. If it can do so, the midway will open at 1 p.m., with $5 admission and $15 unlimited-ride armbands.

The exhibit areas in buildings 1 and 2 won’t be open tomorrow.

The steer/swine auction still took place on March 11, despite the rest of the fair being closed. Today’s steer/swine awards program will also take place as scheduled, beginning at 2 p.m.

Rain on March 9 forced the fair to close an hour early at 9 p.m.
