STARKE— A former Bradford High School girls’ weightlifting coach was sentenced to five years’ sexual offender probation and will be designated as a sexual offender on the state’s sexual offender and predator database after pleading to charges of sexual misconduct with a student.
Autumn Brooke Rodgers pleaded no contest to the Aug. 1, 2020, offenses of lewd and lascivious battery on a child under 16 years of age and to an authority figure soliciting or engaging in a romantic relationship with a student. A third charge of transmitting harmful material to a minor was dropped.
According to court papers, Bradford Detective Kimberly Mosely found sexually explicit photos of the defendant on Rogers’ cell phone.
“The pictures were sent to (the victim) via Snapchat,” wrote Mosely. “When asked about the photos, Rodgers admitted sending them to (the victim).”
According to Mosely, Rodgers then admitted to having a sexual relationship with the victim beginning when the student was 15-years old.
Another former BHS coach accused of sexual misconduct with a student: Lainie Kay Rodgers is scheduled to appear at a pre-trial conference on March 30.
