KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— A Keystone Heights man who inflicted a puncture wound in his wife’s leg told deputies that even though he picked up a drill during a fight with his wife, he did not use the power tool on the woman.

Tracy (Tray) Deland Viddler, 46, was arrested on March 9 by Clay deputies for aggravated battery.

According to an arrest report, the defendant argued with the victim, about the victim visiting the defendant’s mother.

During a physical struggle that ensued, the victim received a puncture wound in her leg. The arresting officer wrote in the report that the woman’s legs were covered in blood. The victim’s account of how she received the injury was not included in the arrest report.

Viddler admitted that during the fight, “he picked up a drill and pressed the button on it a few times while attempting to get (the victim) out of the door.” The arresting officer added that Viddler claimed he did not touch the victim with the drill.
