BHS’ Booker earns a 3rd-place finish at Don Hall meet

Bradford High School girls track and field member Kaelyn Booker placed third in the 400m at the April 1 Don Hall Invitational at Orange Park High School.

Booker ran the 400m in 1:03. She earned one of four top-eight finishes for the girls team. Natalie Thomas and Alissa Reddish were sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 3200m with times of 15:23.60 and 15:23.65. The 4x800m relay team of Layne Loper, Reddish, Thomas and Lindsey McCoy ran a sixth-place time of 13:45.

The boys team came close to a top-eight finish in the 4x100m relay. Ne-O Addison, Jeremiah McKenzie, Gavin Cook and Jametrius Pringle ran a ninth-place time of 46.15.

Pringle entered the invitational off an eighth-place finish in the high jump at the March 25 Bronco Bob Invitational at Middleburg High School. He cleared 5-8.

On March 22, Bradford earned four top-five finishes in boys relays at Ridgeview High School.

The 4x100m A team of Cook, Willie Pollard, Chalil Cummings and Pringle finished as runner-up with a time of 46.50, while the B team of Bryson Bowen, Sincere Hankerson, McKenzie and Jarrin Alexander placed fifth (49.20).

Alexander, Cummings, Pringle and Pollard teamed up to run a second-place time of 1:38 in the 4200m.

The 4x400m team of Cook, McKenzie, Bowen and Hankerson was third (4:14).

Bradford will host a mini-relays meet on Tuesday, April 12, at 5 p.m.
