GREEN COVE SPRINGS— Clay County Supervisor of Elections Chris Chambless said his office is participating in the Trusted Info 2022 campaign, a joint effort by Florida’s Secretary of State and supervisors of elections across Florida to fight misinformation about the voting process.

The Trusted Info 2022 toolkit, created by the National Association of Secretaries of State, includes sample press releases and social media posts elections officials and supporters may use to amplify the message of the campaign.

Florida Secretary of State Laurel Lee and Marion County Supervisor Wesley Cox appeared in a video promoting the effort.

“There’s a lot of information about voting and elections on the internet and social media,” said Lee. “Not all of it is credible. The Florida Department of State and your local supervisor of elections offices will remain the most trusted source for elections information. You can rely on us to provide facts about the voting process.”

Wilcox, the president of the Florida Association of Supervisors of Elections added: “Together our goal is to ensure the integrity of Florida’s elections and to support fair, honest and accurate elections in the state of Florida.”
