KH woman injured; Middleburg man killed in crash

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— The Florida Highway Patrol said a 74-year-old Middleburg man was killed and a 54-year-old Keystone Heights woman was injured in a Wednesday, May 11 crash between Camp Blanding and Middleburg.

 According to an FHP report, the 74-year-old was driving a sedan east on County Road 215 around 4 p.m. The Middleburg man failed to yield to a southbound SUV on State Road 21 driven by the woman.  

The SUV struck the sedan. Both drivers were taken to Orange Park Regional Medical Center, where the 74-year-old died.  

The state agency said neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
