STARKE— A Bradford County jury convicted a 31-year-old Lake City man of three felonies related to his molestation of a girl over a period of two years.

Larry Graham Jr. was found guilty on May 18 of lewd and lascivious molestation on a person under 12 years of age by a person 18 or older, lewd and lascivious molestation on a person 12 years of age or older but under 16 years of age by a person 18 or older and showing obscene material to a minor.

According to court papers, the victim reported the crimes to her mother after the mother kicked Graham out of the house.

She added that Graham claimed to have embarrassing information about the victim and threatened to relay the information to the girl’s mother if the victim told her mother about Graham’s actions.

The victim described incidences where Graham groped her buttocks and breasts and on one occasion held her down to remove her undergarments in order to assault her.

The victim added that she fought the defendant off and he later apologized to her.

The victim also said the incidents occurred when her mother was out of the house, either out of town or working overtime.

Bradford Sheriff’s Detective Kimberly Mosley wrote in a warrant affidavit that the victim said she was cleaning the kitchen one day and Graham walked up to her and said, “I’ve been meaning to show you this.”

The defendant then showed the girl a pornographic video.

Assistant State Attorneys Luis E. Bustamante and Shawn Thompson prosecuted the case for the state.

The defendant was represented by Lucas J. Taylor of Live Oak.

Circuit Judge James E. Colaw is scheduled to sentence Graham on June 8.
