BROOKER— The Bradford County Sheriff’s office said on June 2, around 10 a.m., Larry Shannon Dupree entered the Dollar General and stole between $100 and $200 from the store’s cash register.
“Dupree took the attendant against her will, forcing her to lead him to her vehicle which he then stole and fled the area. The attendant was left unharmed,” the office said in a social media post.
Alachua deputies said Dupree is the suspect in an unrelated carjacking attempt in Alachua County the previous day.
Deputies traced the vehicle to Wakulla County near Tallahassee, where they interviewed the defendant. He was arrested after the interview.
