STARKE— Bradford and Clay tax collectors said in social media posts that their offices now have Florida’s new vanity license plates, including the Explore Our State Parks plate, the Explore Off Road plate, the America the Beautiful plate, the Conserve Florida’s Fisheries plate and the Conserve Wildlife plate.

This year, the legislature approved 12 new vanity plate designs, nine of them featuring historically black fraternities and sororities. The other three newly approved designs were the Explore Off Road plate, the America the Beautiful plate and the Army of Occupation Military plate.

Clay County Tax Collector Diane Hutchings said her office is now accepting pre-orders for the Gadsden plate. The 1751 flag design with a yellow background, black snake and the slogan “Don’t Tread on Me” will go on sale once 3,000 pre-orders have been made.
