Lawtey PD swears in new officers

LAWTEY—Police Chief Jerry Feltner swore in Robert Serafin and James Foster as new members of the city’s police force during the city council’s July 5 meeting.

Foster told council members that he works at Sumter Correctional Institution, has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and is a few classes away from a master’s degree.

Serafin told the council he lives in Duval County now, after living for eight years in Illinois.
