HAMPTON — Work is scheduled to begin next week on construction of a 0.6-mile paved multi-use trail from County Road 18 to Prospect Road (County Road 325). The project includes base work, construction of trail, signage, drainage improvements and other incidental construction.

This segment is one of three in Bradford County being paved as part of the Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail. This trail is also part of the larger statewide Florida SUN Trail Network.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. No lane closures will be permitted between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

FDOT hired Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. to complete this $886,300 project, which is expected to be complete in late 2022, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
