Indians top Tigers in Sept. 13 golf match

Host Keystone Heights High School had the top four individual finishers in defeating Union County in golf on Sept. 13.

The Indians had a team score of 168, which was 41 strokes ahead of the Tigers.

Kenneth Guy, who made par on seven holes, earned medalist honors with a score of 38. Logan Spence, who had two birdies and made par on one hole, was second with a score of 42.

Ty Mitzel made par on five holes to finish with a score of 43, while Nicholas Williams, who made par on three holes, finished at 45.

Union’s Caleb Ripplinger placed fifth with a score of 45. He made par on two holes.

The Indians’ Shepherd Rozier and Hunter Sheppard placed sixth and seventh, respectively, with scores of 47 and 48. Rozier had two birdies, while Shepard made par on one hole.

Union golfers took the eighth through 12th spots. Caleb Zapp, who made par on two holes, shot a 49, while Tucker Williams and Zoe Elixson shot 57 and 58, respectively. Grant Dicks, who made par on one hole, shot a 59, while Patrick Maxwell finished at 64.
