Bradford and Union County each had a golfer tie for second in a Sept. 15 match at The Country Club at Lake City that saw the Tornadoes and the Tigers place first and second, respectively, in the team standings.
The Tornadoes finished with a score of 202, which was three strokes ahead of the Tigers. First Christian Academy was third with a score of 246.
Union’s Caleb Zapp and Bradford’s Cody Spratlin each shot a 47, which was one stroke behind medalist Brayden Petersen of First Christian. Zapp made par on one hole, while Spratlin made par on two.
The Tornadoes’ Jacob Brugh had a birdie and made par on one hole to finish with a fourth-place score of 49. The Tigers’ Tucker Williams shot a fifth-place score of 51.
Union’s Zoe Elixson and Bradford’s Charles Zink each shot a 52 to tie for sixth. Each made par on one hole.
Hayden Knight made par on one hole for Bradford and placed eighth with a score of 54.
The Tigers’ Caleb Ripplinger and Grant Dicks each shot a 55 to tie for ninth. Ripplinger made par on two holes.
Union’s Colby Dukes was 11th with a score of 56.
Bradford got 12th- and 13th-place finishes from Troy Smith and Kaylee Devore, respectively, with scores of 57 and 60.
