BHS golf team falls to 2 Class 3A schools

Bradford High School placed third against host Fleming Island and Creekside — two Class 3A schools — in an Oct. 3 golf match

The Class 1A Tornadoes had a team score of 216. Fleming placed first with a score of 145, while Creekside had a score of 152.

Cody Spratlin made par on one hole and finished 13th with a score of 51, while Troy Smith and Hayden Knight were 14th and 15th, respectively, with scores of 52 and 54. Jacob Brugh shot a 16th-place score of 59, while Charles Zink had a 17th-place score of 62.

On Sept. 27, host Bradford finished 14 strokes behind Trinity Christian, which had a score of 195.

Spratlin, who made par on two holes, earned a third-place finish with a score of 46, which left him two strokes behind Trinity’s Jason Collins and Jack Gracyalny, who tied for first.

Zink and Smith, who each shot a 54, were in a four-way tie for fifth.

Brugh, who made par on one hole, and Knight placed ninth and 10th, respectively, with scores of 55 and 56.

Chase Halsey and Kaylee Devore tied for 12th with scores of 63.
