Candace Jackson finished two strokes out of first place as the Keystone Heights High School girls golf team concluded the regular season with a win over host Middleburg on Oct. 17.
The Indians had a team score of 206 to finish 22 strokes ahead of the Broncos.
Jackson made par on six holes and finished with a score of 41. M.J. Rivera, who made par on one hole, and Mia Rivera placed third and fourth, respectively, with scores of 49 and 53.
Rexi Lewis shot a seventh-place score of 63, while Rebecca Binet had an 11th-place score of 76.
Keystone entered the match off an Oct. 11 loss to visiting Buchholz, which had a team score of 158.
The Indians, who had a score of 189, were led by Jackson, who had a birdie and made par on five holes to shoot a second-place score of 38. She was five strokes out of first.
M.J. Rivera, who made par on two holes, was fifth with a score of 43, while Mia Rivera, who also made par on two holes, was seventh with a score of 48.
Lewis and Binet placed ninth and 11th, respectively, with scores of 60 and 65.
The last home match of the season was also a chance to honor seniors Jackson, Lewis and M.J. Rivera.
Keystone next participates in the District 3-1A tournament, which will be Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Lake City’s Quail Heights Country Club at 9 a.m.
