Hope boys open with win over Northside

Hope Christian Academy held visiting Northside Christian Academy to no points in the third quarter as the Lions opened the boys basketball season with a 28-22 win on Nov. 29.

The Lions trailed 12-10 at halftime, but took an 11-point lead into the final quarter.

Marcus Chever scored 15 points, while Tavian Frazier had four points and nine rebounds.

Julio Casielles and Jude Hanson each scored three points, with Hanson also coming away with four steals.

Traven Chandler added two points and eight rebounds, while Aiden Wilson scored one point.

Hope improved to 2-0 with a 76-25 win over Westwood Christian on Dec. 1.

The Lions travel to play Gainesville Christian Community on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and will travel to Jasper to play Corinth Christian on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Hope travels to Jacksonville to play Old Plank Christian on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
