Bradford High School had four first-team selections and a total of seven honored overall with the release of the Class 2S All-State football teams.
The Tornadoes’ defense, which recorded nine shutouts and allowed 79 points all season, had three first-team picks in juniors Torin Brazell, Chason Clark and Chalil Cummings. Brazell, a lineman, made 68 tackles (25 for loss) and caused two fumbles, while Clark, a linebacker who was named to the team as an athlete, had 101 tackles (14 for loss), three sacks, a caused fumble and a fumble recovery. Cummings, a defensive back, had 71 tackles and three interceptions.
Clark was also a first-team Gainesville Sun Big-School All-Area selection, while the paper named Brazell and Cummings to its second team.
Senior lineman Jayden Luna was named to the first-team offense. Luna (also a first-team Gainesville Sun All-Area pick) and the offensive line helped pave the way for a rushing attack that averaged 234.8 yards per game (3,287 yards on 476 carries).
Bradford had one second-team pick in senior linebacker Bryson Bowen. Bowen, who earned first-team Gainesville Sun All-Area honors, had 94 tackles (12 for loss), seven sacks, two caused fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Junior running back Willie Pollard and sophomore quarterback Jeremiah McKenzie earned honorable mention. Pollard rushed for 1,106 yards and 11 touchdowns on 167 carries. McKenzie completed 52 of 80 passes for 855 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also rushing for 549 yards and 12 touchdowns on 119 carries.
Pollard and McKenzie were both first-team Gainesville Sun All-Area selections.
