89-year-old killed in SR 21 crash

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS—The Florida Highway Patrol said a motorcyclist was killed after he pulled out in front of an SUV north of Keystone Heights on Thursday, February 23.

According to an FHP report, the 89-year-old Keystone Heights man stopped at a stop sign at County Road 352 in the area of Spring Lake and White Sands Lake around 4 p.m.

He then pulled onto State Road 21 into the path of the SUV.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, identified as a 31-year-old Keystone Heights woman, was treated for minor injuries at St. Vincent’s Clay in Middleburg.
