BHS wins girls relay at Baldwin track meet

Bradford High School competed in a track and field meet at Baldwin on Feb. 23, with the girls 4x100m relay team earning a first-place finish.

The team of Diamond Ferguson, Kendell Shanks, Izarriya DeSue and Kaelyn Booker ran a time of 54.26.

It was one of two teams Bradford had in the event. Kaiya Booker, Jillian Lee, Ar’monie Brown and Holly Holt teamed up to run an eighth-place time of 1:05.

Lee was also a member of the third-place 4x800m team. She, Layne Loper, Mackenzie Austin and Alissa Reddish ran a time of 15:24.

The Bradford girls team also got a pair of 10th-place finishes from Holt in the 400m (1:12) and Shanks in the 100. (14.19).

On the boys side, Bradford had one top-10 finish, with its 4x100m relay team of Chayten Sanders, Krystian Harris, Jordan Barton and Jaleel Easley running a fourth-place time of 48.0.
