Tucker Hardee drove in three runs, including the game winner on a walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh as the Union County High School baseball team defeated visiting Dunnellon 6-5 on March 13.

It was the sixth straight win for the Tigers (6-1), who play at Suwannee on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 p.m.

Union trailed 3-1, but took the lead with a four-run fifth. Bryson Huggins and Devin Diggs drew consecutive walks to start the inning, while a Jeremy Miller single loaded the bases. Tre’Von Lee hit an RBI single one out later, followed by a two-run single by Hardee. Blake Agner hit the team’s third straight single to push another run across and give the Tigers a 5-3 lead.

Dunnellon put two runners in the top of the seventh with a single and a hit batter. With two outs, the visitors loaded the bases with a walk before scoring a run on an error. A bases-loaded walk then tied the score at 5-5.

Ayden Elixson led off the Tigers’ half of the seventh with a double. Lee was then intentionally walked. Both runners advanced on a passed ball before Hardee drove a 3-2 pitch into center field to score Elixson.

Hardee finished 2 for 4.

Agner, Diggs and Lee each had one RBI.
