The Union County High School boys track and field team recorded a pair of top-five finishes in relays at the Don Hall Invitational, which was held April 6 at Orange Park High School.
Dayquan Diston, Rayvon Durant, Auntrell Ross and Davien Pressley teamed up to run a third-place time of 44.32 in the 4x100m, while Diston, Brycen Boney, Blake McCoy and Bo Thomas ran a fifth-place time of 3:44 in the 4x400m.
Individually, Ross had a pair of seventh-place finishes, running the 100m in 11.37 and the 200m in 23.03. He also placed ninth in the long jump with a distance of 20-5.
McCoy had a 10th-place distance of 20-4.25 in the long jump, while Deonte Jones just missed out on a top-10 finish in the 400m, running an 11th-place time of 54.02.
Other boys results: 100m — Durant 11.84, Jabari Young 11.89, McCoy 12.14; 200m — Diston 24.12, Treyjan Tyson 25.22; 1600m — Joseph Harris 5:31, Case Denson 6:18; long jump — Ibn Williams 17-9.5; triple jump — Thomas 35-6.75; and shot put — Jacob Jenkins 32-11, Anthony Holmes 27-10.25.
Union’s girls team got an eighth-place finish from Amia Bethea, who had a time of 13.17 in the 100m.
The girls 4x100m team of Bethea, Holly Halfacre, Daina Smith and Ny’asia Jones had a 10th-place time of 53.74.
Other girls results: 100m — Jones 13.62, Smith 14.99; 200m — Jones 28.20, Grace Newsome 33.37; 400m — Mia Odum 1:08; long jump — Taliyah Harper 13-2, Halfacre 12-10, Odum 11-9.75; and discus — Taleyah Smith 66-9, Deashia Gainer 42-8, Gracie Manning 35-4.
The Tigers were coming off of competing in the Bolles Sprint Field Meet on April 5, which saw the boys team earn three runner-up finishes.
Ross took second in the 200m with a time of 23.0 and teamed up with Diston, Durant and Pressley to run a second-place time of 45.13 in the 4x100m. He also had a third-place finish in the long jump (19-8.75) and a fifth-place finish in the 100m (11.33).
Thomas Williams placed second in the long jump with a distance of 20-11.25.
The 4x400m team was fifth with a time of 4:00. McCoy also earned a fifth-place finish in the triple jump (37-9.25).
Boney placed seventh in the 400m (53.10), while Tyson was eighth in the 100m (11.40).

The girls team got a fourth-place finish from Isabelle Kirston, who cleared 4-5 in the high jump.
Leah Clark had a pair of fifth-place finishes, running the 100m in 12.50 and the 200m in 25.77.
