STARKE — Last Friday, Bradford County School District revealed that Chris Coffey will be principal at Bradford High School for the 2023-24 school year.
Coffey has been an assistant principal at the school since 2017.
“I am extremely excited that Mr. Coffey will be our next principal at BHS,” Superintendent Will Hartley said. “I think in his work as assistant principal over the last six years he has established himself as ‘Mr. BHS’ in the eyes of the majority of our students and parents. He is a very well-rounded leader that has the student’s best interests at heart. His work ethic is second to none and his continued level of commitment as principal of Bradford High School will serve our community well.”
“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to work alongside our amazing students and the best faculty and staff around,” Coffey said. “I appreciate Mr. Hartley and the Bradford School Board for putting their faith in me and for Ms. Tomlinson who continues to be a phenomenal mentor. Go Tornadoes, Go Big Red!”
“Mr. Coffey is by far the best pick as the next principal of Bradford High School,” Prinicpal Angela Tomlinson said. “He is a solid educator and brings consistency that the school needs to lead them to the next level.”
“Mr. Coffey and his family are active members of the community and he is personally involved in many events. As the Principal of Bradford High School, Mr. Coffey will bring both his educational knowledge and love of the community to create a well-rounded atmosphere for all,” she continued.
Tomlinson said her next chapter is a work in process.
“I am confident that the Lord will lead me where He needs me. I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with the faculty and staff as well as the families of Bradford High School. I consider BHS family and I will forever be a Tornado!” she said.
