According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the two victims told Bradford Detective Joseph Shiller that Higgins and another man were buying two dirt bikes from the victims when the buyers pulled a black handgun on them.

“(The suspects) told both victims to get in the back of (Higgins’) truck and drove off with both victims in the truck against their will,” Shiller wrote. Higgins and an unknown suspect dropped the two victims off at SE CR (230)A and SE CR 100A.”
