Keystone Heights High School’s cross-country teams participated in the Aug. 25 Cecil Field Summer Classic, with Olivia Griffin and Tyler Griffin both earning top-10 finishes.
Tyler Griffin placed fourth in a field of 358 boys runners with a time of 17:41, while Olivia Griffin ran a time of 22:24 to finish seventh in the 360-member girls race.
The boys team got a 22nd-place finish from Ryder Thomas, who had a time of 18:24, while three other runners finished in the top half of the field: Hunter Sheppard, with a 105th-place time of 20:26, Anthony Peak with a 123rd-place time of 20:41 and Jaden Park with a 165th-place time of 21:34.
Also running for the boys team were Kipton Spence (22:20), Bryce Huntley (22:48) and Jason Parales (23:06).
Girls team member Melody Tyre placed in the top half of the field with a 119th-place time of 26:39, while teammates Cali Chamberlain and Brook Graudons ran times of 30:02 and 30:41, respectively.
Keystone will compete in the Bob Hans Invitational at Ridgeview High School on Saturday, Sept. 2. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with the boys varsity race.
