BHS and BMS compete at Clay Co. Invitational

Bradford High School’s Alissa Reddish placed 63rd, while all three Bradford Middle School girls runners placed in the top half of the field at the Sept. 9 Clay County Cross Country Invitational in Green Cove Springs.

Reddish, competing in a field of 123 runners, had a time of 26:36.

Anna Adkins led BMS in the 146-runner middle-school girls race with a 33rd-place time of 13:49. Tinsley Fortune and Madison Ivy-Kennedy placed 61st and 72nd, respectively, with times of 15:13 and 15:39.

Kayden Lee and Hayden Starling had times of 26:19 and 27:10, respectively, in the high-school boys race. Ethan Ansley had a time of 15:11 in the middle-school boys race.

Bradford’s runners were coming off a performance in the 10th annual Florida Horse Park Invitational, which was held Sept. 2 in Ocala. Adkins and Ivy-Kennedy placed 57th and 74th, respectively, in the 131-member middle-school girls race with times of 14:49 and 16:06.

Lee and Starling ran times of 27:06 and 28:57, respectively, in the junior varsity boys race, while Ansley had a time of 16:54 in the middle-school boys race.
