KHHS boys golf team is 2nd in 3-team match

Keystone Heights High School’s Ty Mitzel finished in a three-way tie for medalist honors in an Oct. 2 boys golf match hosted by Oak Hall.

The Class 1A Indians finished second to Class 1A Oak Hall in the team standings with a score of 164, which was five strokes behind the host Eagles and 10 strokes ahead of Class 3A Buchholz.

Mitzel, who made par on six holes, shot a 39, which left him tied with Oak Hall’s Tanmay Chandra and Lucas Katz.

Alex Addington shot a fourth-place score of 40. He had a birdie and made par on three holes.

Connor Guy, who made par on four holes, and Nick Binet, who made par on three holes, placed seventh and 10th, respectively, with scores of 42 and 43.

Jacob Beach, who made par on one hole, had a score of 46, while Will Begue, who made par on three holes, had a score of 49.
